Statistics

The latest available statistics* show that in 2009 there were 294 Stillbirths in Ireland, 168 Neonatal Deaths (that is babies less than 4 weeks old) and a further 79 deaths of infants between 4 weeks and 1 year. That means that at least 541 families were devastated by infant death in 2009.  That doesn’t include the grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, godparents and wider circle of friends.  We aim to help all those affected by those deaths.
